Description & General Usage
GSLE is a small park with approximately 357 feet of waterfront with a concrete bulkhead facing the Colorado River portion of Lake LBJ and averages approximately 40-50 feet wide. GSLE has a unique square pier used to designate a swimming area. It has a boat ramp, a cinder block building with two restrooms, and four covered picnic areas with concrete pads. There is no designated parking area at this park

City Parks Timbercove Park



Timbercove Park

Description & General Usage
The park is a 2-acre waterfront park and is the second smallest of the city’s five parks. It is easily found at the bottom of 40 mile an hour hill on Ranch Road 2233. The canopies of the park’s 95 trees create cooling shade throughout much of the park Recreational amenities include two recently constructed pickleball courts, a basketball goal, a walking trail, and children’s play structures including a swing, slide, and climbing structure. There is also an open lawn area for playing on the shore of the lake. Pickleball games to join or set up can be found on www.playtimescheduler.com. There are picnic tables & benches throughout the park and restrooms and a doggie waste disposal station are onsite for your convenience. Catfish & perch are regularly seen & caught by young anglers along the concrete bulkhead, particularly in the shady area. So, as you can tell, this park has a little something for the entire family.
Lakeshore Park

Description & General Usage
This park is estimated to be approximately 3 acres in size with about 250 feet of open waterfront. The park gently slopes east toward the water. The park is mostly an open area with a few trees on the west and south sides and one huge oak tree toward the east. It has a small boat ramp with a pier, a concrete bulkhead, a cinder block building with two restrooms, a covered picnic area with a picnic table on a concrete pad and a swing set. There is one additional picnic table not on a concrete pad. It has been used in the past for such activities as kite flying, Frisbee golf, and unorganized team sports.
Sandy Park

SANDY PARK
Located at 823 Sandy Mountain Drive
Description & General Usage This park is the largest of all the parks. The park sits on a sloping 8-acre lot with 3 distinct sections including an upper area with a designated landing zone (LZ), a wooded sloping area, and a large sandy beach. The central area of the park contains numerous trees highlighted by fully mature oak trees, the restroom, and septic field. There are 2 picnic tables under shade trees and a cinder block building with two restrooms, one of which has wheelchair access with an asphalt entrance. Boaters enjoy pulling up to the sandy beach to participate in swimming and fishing activities.
