The Honorable Rob Hardy
Mayor, City of Sunrise Beach Village
Hi, my name is Rob! I have over 30 years of healthcare operations and management experience across various healthcare settings. Beginning my career as a Licensed Paramedic and Commander with one of the most prestigious EMS services in the country, I served in C level positions in hospital administration, academic medicine, multi-specialty practice management, and most recently led Accountable Care Organizations to achieve some of the highest levels of quality metrics in the country. I also recently became a Licensed REALTOR ®, which is a benefit both in my healthcare practice as well as learning the Farm and Ranch real estate business in the Hill Country.
I am a Life Fellow, and am Board Certified in Healthcare Management through the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), as well as a Certified Medical Practice Executive of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Texas State University, and an All But Dissertation (ABD) for a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Texas.
My selected volunteer and service experience includes being a Member of the Llano County Healthcare Forum, Chairman of the Federated Church of Sunrise Beach, Past President and Member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, Commissioner of Williamson County Emergency Services District 8, Director of Williamson County Board of Health, and a Founding Board Member of the Georgetown Neurosciences Foundation (an organization created to research and better understand brain health).
All of these roles taught me many lessons, including how to be a servant leader. I believe that means I must lead by example; that my role as a leader has always been to give the folks that actually do the job the skills and resources that they need to be successful, and then to get out of their way.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, children, and friends – especially my 110 lb White German Shepherd Milo. I am very active in my church community and enjoy the outdoors through horseback riding, boating, fishing, hunting, and camping. I am also personally dedicated to the premise that no one should take themselves too seriously! 🙂 Please contact me anytime at mayor@sunrisebeachtx.gov or rob.hardy@sunrisebeachtx.gov.
