HISTORICAL INFORMATION
CCAA was established in the 1980s by some of the town’s original residents who had the foresight to realize that neighbors working together would help create a better community for all. Hence, the CCAA (Citizens for Community Action Association) was created. Residents of Sunrise Beach Village are automatically members of CCAA. The organization is led by a group of resident volunteers that serve in various roles on the CCAA Board and Committees. To get more involved, contact one of the board members or committee chairs listed above or email ccaasunrisebeach@gmail.com.
CCAA has led many important initiatives over the years that have made a big impact on the Sunrise Beach community. This includes the purchase of land for a welding shed and the City Hall offices. Additionally, through volunteer labor, generous donations of materials, as well as money generated from LCRA grants and fundraisers, the Civic Center was built.
Available to residents for private events for a nominal fee – The event space can accommodate up to 150 people. Features include a large meeting room, full kitchen, restrooms, and more. Currently utilized by CCAA as well as city leadership and staff for events, meetings, and fundraisers. Click here to learn more.
